Andre Kikoski Architect, PLLC is a multidisciplinary firm that is committed to artistic innovation, material research, and detail-oriented design. For Second Home, Kikoski “created an approachable and comfortable locale…with a playful, contemporary restaurant and lounge. The design strategy embraces textural contrast and celebrates the dissonance of eclectic elements to create a truly memorable patron experience.”

The unembellished dry-stack stone walls and rough-hewn wood plank ceilings highlight the organic textures of the Rocky Mountains. These subdue components are combined with bold design elements such as Italian chandeliers, graffiti-covered Danish chairs, and cowhide upholstered walls. The two styles work to create a welcoming atmosphere for dining by balancing the “somber geometry” with ornate focal pieces.
The restaurant also includes an open-air patio defined by a 15-foot open flame fire pit that “is highly original and sure to be a popular gathering place.” Communal tables, comfortable banquettes and an open kitchen with an open-flame pizza oven complete the warm and inviting qualities of the space.
Andre Kikoski also has upcoming projects at the Guggenheim Museum and the Museum for African Art.
