UXUS was invited by Dutch cosmetics retailer SKINS to design a US pilot store in Las Vegas at the Cosmopolitan.
Located at the heart of the infamous Vegas Strip, the Cosmopolitan is the new key retail destination for the ‘multicultural, city chic, urban minded and design driven’ crowd. The brief was to create an aspirational, yet accessible shopping experience showcasing a wide variety of brands and products.
Inspired by the dynamic and ever-changing nature of street markets, the shop design refines the notion of freshly delivered crates of products to stimulate shopper curiosity. Loose groupings, stacks of boxes, and familiar fixturing keep the shop accessible and exciting. The overall store concept gives a sense of spontaneity and encourages shoppers to browse and discover their favorite products. The entrance and high ceilings greet visitors with dramatic pressed tin tiles enhancing the theatrical concept.
